DOCK MANAGER

IMMEDIATE OPENING IN Kent, WA

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the material handling aspects of the parcel warehouse, coordinating interplant product shipments, and employee supervision and development.

Qualifications:

• Manage the performance of direct report employees. Providing training to current and new material handlers/forklift operators, and schedule/coordinate overtime coverage as needed.
• Ensure optimal material warehousing, including ongoing organization of operations warehousing, inventories management, and radio frequency system maintenance.
• Manage interplant product shipments by coordinating/communicating finished product movement between facilities, maintaining inventories/location information for product movement between facilities, and communication movement with local truck dispatch and drivers as needed.
• Promote employee safety awareness and compliance.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2-3 years management experience.
• Practical field experience with knowledge in shipping and receiving, sorter applications, and offline applications as desired.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information to all levels of employees including local and senior management. Must be able to build good working relationships and have the ability to multi-task.
• Time management, organizational, self-motivated, presentation and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Basic knowledge of United States Postal Service regulations.
