Make a monumental impact on the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle at no cost to you.
Making a bequest to the ULMS involves naming the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle as a beneficiary in your will. At the time of your death, ULMS will receive a fixed amount or a percentage of your estate. The gift costs you nothing and may significantly reduce estate taxes for your heirs. We would be happy to speak with you or your attorney to make sure that the language in your will allows your intentions to be fulfilled. This is particularly important if you are contributing a large amount through your estate or are considering a named planned gift designated for a specific purpose.
Name ULMS as a beneficiary of your retirement plan
Support a vision for a more vibrant and economically strong community today and spare your heirs some taxes.
Leaving an IRA to your children could result in them owing income and estate taxes. Your heirs may also have to receive the funds slowly over many years. Naming ULMS as a whole or partial beneficiary of your IRA will relieve your heirs of tax liabilities and support ULMS. Your IRA funds can be put to immediate use to sponsor any of our mission’s platforms of empowering African Americans and underrepresented communities with opportunity and access to housing, employment, health and education.
