Edwin T. Pratt Scholarship
EDWIN T. PRATT LEGACY
Through Edwin T. Pratt’s leadership and vision, the Seattle Urban League grew to be one of the most prominent voices in
Seattle’s struggle for human and civil rights. Pratt was instrumental in promoting equity in Seattle’s primary and secondary
schools as well as increasing access to higher education for people of color. The Edwin T. Pratt Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of a man who envisioned education as an integral component to a more just society
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
The scholarship will provide financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students for tuition, books and supplies who meet the following qualifications:
- Current High School Seniors, Undergraduate and/or Graduate students
- United States citizen
- Resident of King County, Washington
- Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0
SELECTION CRITERIA
Applicants will be evaluated on the following:
- Application Presentation
- Essay Content & Delivery
- Letters of Recommendation
- Interview

- June1: Scholarship Recipients Notified
- August-September: Scholarship Checks Mailed to Recipients’ Schools
