Dear Friends,
Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle CEO and President Pamela L. Banks
On behalf of the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS), I would like to thank our dedicated donors, friends, volunteers, corporate and institutional partners for your ongoing commitment to equity, passion to serve and dedication to social justice. For nearly 90 years the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle has championed racial equity and social justice on behalf of the African American community and other historically underrepresented communities. The Urban League has been unmatched in its delivery of education, employment, health and housing programs throughout the Puget Sound Region. I cannot believe how fast the past five years of this journey have flown by. However, I am thrilled to see how far we have come!

Like the great Emerald City, the Urban League is experiencing tremendous growth. I am honored to say we have gone from a $400,000 operating budget, 2 staff, our legacy housing program, and lingering debt to now having many amazing programs in housing and financial empowerment, employment, and education. In addition, we are honored to have several partnerships, a growing team of hardworking Urban Leaguers in house and serving on our board of directors. What is equally exciting is that we now have an operating budget approaching four million and are currently debt free so that we are able to focus on the work of Empowering Communities and Changing Lives.

We are so honored that you took the time to visit our website today. I sincerely hope that you find facts and information that encourage you to get involved. As our city and organization grow it is imperative that we join together to ensure that the Metropolitan Seattle area and Puget Sound Region is an equitable place to live, work and play for ALL of our residents.

Yours in the movement!
Pamela L. Banks
President and CEO
