Supplemental Educational Services (SES)
MISSION:
To provide academic support to economically disadvantaged students in public schools not making “Annual Yearly Progress” for the second consecutive year. We address the social and emotional needs of students as well as academic achievement. Our SES services integrate these goals into instructional strategies building on student interest, cultural orientation and learning styles. Academic instruction builds on school curriculum and ultimately supports district and state goals for WASL improvement. Our curriculum engages students with hands-on activities and games designed to build academic success in a fun, learning environment. Services are limited to qualifying schools and students. We are currently serving middle school students at the African American Academy (AAA), a public school in South Seattle.
